PITTSBURG COUNTY, Okla.– A McAlester woman was killed in a car wreck after swerving on the road several times and rolling over her car.

27-year-old Audra Honel was driving her 1997 Ford Explorer on US Highway 69 when she began to swerve.

The woman was headed eastbound on the 9A off ramp when she failed to accurately make the turn only to overcorrect two separate times.

The second time her car departed the highway, rolled two and a half times, landing on its roof and Honel was ejected from the vehicle.

Honel was transported to McAlester Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead from massive injuries.

Police believe alcohol played a role in accident.
