Large grassfire shuts down highway

OAKWOOD, Okla.—Crews near the Blaine and Dewey County lines were forced to shut down a highway after a large grassfire consumed areas on both sides of the roadway.

A large grassfire sparked on both sides of U.S. Highway 270 near Oakwood Saturday.

Authorities say they closed down the lanes due to a large amount of smoke obstructing the roadway.
