Driver kills woman crossing the street

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Police are searching for the driver in a deadly hit-and-run accident on the city's southwest side Wednesday.

Police believe the victim, a woman, was trying to cross the street at S.W. 29th St. and Lee when she was hit by an oncoming car and died instantly.

Police said the driver left the vehicle and took off on foot.

The suspect car is a green four-door Saturn.

Police are hoping to track down the driver through tag information on the abandoned car.
