Man arrested in Enid shooting

ENID, Okla. — An Oklahoma man shot Jeffery Holt in the face Thursday after a brief argument.

Police said Jeremy Jenkins, sometimes known as Jeremy Smart, got into a fight with Holt Thursday around 11:30 p.m.

The argument quickly escalated and Jenkins shot Holt in the face one time.

Emergency vehicles transported Holt to the hospital and later transported him to a trauma center in Oklahoma City.

Police said Holt’s injuries are believed to be non life threatening.

Jenkins sits in jail on a charge of shooting with intent to kill.
