OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City Police are searching for the gunman in a late-night shooting that left one man dead.

It happened in the 2700 block of North Meridian about 11:30 p.m. Monday night.

A woman called 911 and reported shots fired in the area.

The caller also said a man had been seen stumbling and then collapsed in the parking lot.

When officers arrived they found a victim bleeding and barely alive in the parking lot of the Brittany Apartments.

"Officers responded and did find the subject had been shot multiple times, how many times at this point I don't know. The subject was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced dead at the time that subject arrived at the hospital." said Oklahoma City Police Captain Nate Tarver.

Police have not released any suspect information.

Detectives say they did find a pick-up truck with a bullet hole in it east of the shooting location.

Police are trying to determine if the truck is connected to the crime.

Officers have not released the name of the victim.
