Conrad Bain of ‘Diff’rent Strokes’ dies at 89

Conrad Bain, a stage and film actor who played a father figure in the sitcom “Diff’rent Strokes” has died.

According to his daughter, Bain died Monday of natural causes in his hometown of Livermore, Cali.

The popular sitcom, “Diff’rent Strokes” debuted in 1978 and Bain quickly became a household name with his character, Mr. Drummond, starring opposite Gary Coleman and Todd Bridges.

Bridges is now the only surviving member of that cast.

Conrad Bain was 89 years old.
