ASPEN, Colo. – The Aspen city council is considering  a 14 mile per hour speed limit in one residential area in an attempt to get them to slow down.

US News reported residents complaining few drivers obey the 25 mph limit and are putting neighbors in danger.

The Aspen Times said the mayor suggested an 18 mph limit because the arbitrary number would attract the attention of drivers.

Council members decided to drop the proposed limit down to 14 mph.
