Toyota announced that it is recalling more than 1 million vehicles in the United States.

The company is recalling 652,000 Toyota Corolla sedans and Corolla Matrix crossovers for a faulty airbag control module.

The models affected by the recall are from 2003 to 2004.

In another move, authorities say 270,000 Lexus IS sedans are being recalled to check for a loose nut on the front wiper blades.

The recall covers the sedans manufactured from 2006 to 2012.

Owners of the recalled vehicles will receive a letter telling them to bring their car into a dealership for repairs.
