The mystery surrounding the death of a nine month old Edmond boy continues. But community members join together demanding a review of the case.

Jacob Hedger stopped breathing while at his babysitter's home back in March 2011. He later died at the hospital. The medical examiner's office released an autopsy that showed a skull fracture from blunt force trauma that ultimately killed him. But it also showed previous injuries the baby-sitter and parents could not explain. A Facebook group as well as family friends are asking the attorney generals office to examine the case because they think there are things that were over looked the first time around.

"I just can't imagine it being my grandchild, dying and not knowing how or why," said Carrie Mayes.

"A lot of people in the community want the death of this baby to be solved and for somebody to be held accountable," said family friend Paula Jennings

Even after all of this time, it's still difficult to get basic information about this case. Earlier this week - News Channel 4 requested documents from the Edmond Police Department related to the investigation.
The department's spokeswoman said - "We are under orders from the grand jury not to speak or release information until the investigation is complete."

We spoke to the Attorney General's Office....they will assign it to an investigator who will review all the facts of the case. We'll keep checking back.
