A Georgia store clerk is facing charges after being accused of spanking a customer's child with a belt.

The 8-year-old boy admitted to throwing something at the woman but only after she called him a name.

"So I walked down this aisle and I seen the lady,” he said. “She started calling me a demon, so I said 'I'll show you bad' and I picked up a cookie and I threw it at her. So I tried to hide behind the counter and somehow she found me and started whipping me and I didn't have nowhere to go."

Logan Ivey was spanked at a Georgia Dollar General store.

The incident all caught on store surveillance footage.

The Wrightsville police chief said, from the footage they have, Ivey was hit with the belt about 25 times by the clerk.

Police charged the clerk with aggravated assault.
