4 Your Child: Help your child read

Abraham Lincoln once said, “A capacity and taste for reading gives access to whatever has already been discovered by others.”

Yet for thousands of Oklahoma children, learning to read is a struggle and that struggle ripples down, often times making school frustrating and difficult.

Kelly Suchy with Smart Start of Central Oklahoma talked with us about the issue.

She said for anyone who has a child who is struggling, it’s heartbreaking because reading really is fundamental to everything else in school.
