LONDON—The Queen of England is back home resting after being hospitalized over the weekend for a stomach bug.

We’re told she was suffering from gastroenteritis, an infection and inflammation of the stomach and intestine.

She was admitted to the hospital Sunday, which forced her to cancel a trip to Rome later this week.

Dr. Laurence Buckman, British  Medical Association, said, “Gastroenteritis can become a serious illness in older people and little children if they become dehydrated. The way to avoid that is to admit the patient to the hospital to observe them overnight or two.”

The queen is expected to make a full recover.
