Republican congresswoman Michelle Bachman is under investigation.

The Office of Congressional Ethics is looking into allegations that Bachman improperly used money from a congressional political action committee to pay campaign aides.

The committee is also looking into claims of concealed payments to Bachman’s Iowa campaign chairman at the time, who is a state senator.

Iowa ethics rules forbid legislators from being paid by campaigns.

Bachman’s attorney released a statement Tuesday saying that he’s confident the congressional ethics inquiry will find she didn’t do anything wrong.
