OKLAHOMA CITY -- An Oklahoma City Police officer was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries he received while making an arrest.

About 6 a.m. Wednesday morning, police say an officer was making an arrest at the Willow Cliff Apartments near NW 50th and MacArthur when the officer hurt his ankle.

Police are not releasing any details about the reason for the arrest or the person who was arrested.

According to police, the officer was attempting to handcuff the suspect when the officer was injured.

Willow Cliff Apartment management refused to talk with the media about the incident, asking crews to leave the property.

Police have responded to several incidents at the apartment complex in recent months.
