AURORA, Colo. – A plea deal might be in the works for James Holmes the man accused in the Aurora, Colorado theater shooting.

In a court document made public Wednesday, Holmes’ attorneys offered to have him plead guilty and spend life in prison, in exchange for avoiding the death penalty.

Prosecutors have yet to accept the deal.
