OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City Thunder began their quest for a second straight finals appearance by throttling the Houston Rockets 120-91. James Harden struggled in his second game at The Peake since being traded to Houston scoring 20 points off of 19 shots.

The Thunder used a 22-9 2nd quarter run coupled with excellent defense from the opening tip. Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka all scored 7 field goals for OKC. Now the Thunder have a few days to bask in the victory as game 2 isn't until Wednesday night. The Rockets shot just 36% for the game, but believe it or not Kevin Durant says they still have to get better on defense.
