OKLAHOMA CITY—As many fans are gearing up for Game 5 against the Houston Rockets, AT&T customers will be able to cheer on the Oklahoma City Thunder on multiple platforms inside the Chesapeake Arena.

The company is implementing a Distributed Antenna System, which will make sure phone calls can go through inside the arena.

It will also create faster download and upload speeds for AT&T customers using tablets, smartphones and other devices.

Bryan Gonterman, president of AT&T Oklahoma, said, “These enhancements will allow basketball fans and others who attend events in Chesapeake Arena to share their experiences, inside and outside the arena, on their mobile devices. We want to enable the thousands of NBA fans and concert-goers to use their wireless devices to capture memories made and to share those memories on a global scale.”

The improvements were completed just in time for the playoffs.

The Oklahoma City Thunder will take on the Houston Rockets in Game 5 Wednesday night.

Tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
