NEW ORLEANS—A would-be victim gets the upper hand on a robber.

The victim was walking alone on a New Orleans’ street in the early hours of Saturday morning when a man wielding a shotgun appears from around a car.

The suspect approaches the man, points the shotgun at his face and allegedly demands money.

That’s when the victim grabs the weapon from the thief and chases him away from the area.

Moments later, two men drove up in a black sedan and allegedly asked the victim for the gun in exchange for his cell phone that he had dropped.

Instead of handing over the weapon, the victim used the gun to bash in the thief’s rear car window.

No word on if any arrests have been made yet.
