Texas Tech ended Oklahoma State’s five-game winning streak with a 5-2 win in their three-game series opener Friday night in Lubbock, Texas. After OSU had tied the game on a Rick Stover 2-run single in the top of the 2nd, Tech answered with two runs in the bottom half of the inning and added a run later to win it 5-2.

OSU drops to 7-and-8 in conference play. The series resumes Saturday night at 6:30 in Lubbock.
