Laugh for Relief – Oak City Comedy Initiative, OKC comedy, Oklahoma City Improv and Red Dirt improv are collaborating on a big show Friday night at The Paramount on historic film row. It will include local stand-up, improv and short films. Admission is free , we will be asking for donations at the door and throughout the night. 100% of donations collected will go to the Oklahoma City Community Foundation. LyricTheatreOKC.com – Lyric is holding a free, open-to-the-public concert in honor of our 50th Anniversary, this Saturday, June 1 at the Myriad Botanical Gardens. Originally planned just as a way to give back to the community, we will now be collecting cash donations for tornado victims during the event. All collected money will be donated to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma following the concert, so that it can go directly to victims.

The Oklahoma City RedHawks – have announced all ticket proceeds from the special screening of The Sandlot at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark on Saturday, June 1 will go toward American Red Cross disaster relief efforts in Oklahoma following this week’s devastating tornados. “This is a great opportunity to give back to those who were affected by the tragic events earlier this week,” RedHawks President/General Manager Michael Byrnes said.

The classic baseball movie is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and Oklahoma City is one of 20 stops on a nationwide tour that will host an exclusive viewing of the film.
Tickets are $7 per individual or $20 for a family four-pack and are available through the RedHawks ticket office on S. Mickey Mantle Drive, by phone at (405) 218-1000, or by visiting okcredhawks.com. Gates will open at 7:30 p.m. and the film will start at 8 p.m.
In addition to the movie playing on the main video board at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, the film’s director and narrator David Mickey Evans will be present to introduce the film and answer fans’ questions. Special “The Sandlot” merchandise, including the special 20th anniversary Blu-ray + DVD combo pack, will be on sale.
