INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. – A home in Nevada scheduled for demolition later this week got an early and unexpected start.

Crews dropped off an excavator to prepare for the demolition.

They unloaded it on the driveway which collapsed underneath it.

It took two tow trucks to pull the 38-ton excavator off of the home near Lake Tahoe.

Officials said the driveway was designed to hold about 20,000 pounds, or two passenger vehicles, not an 84,000-pound excavator.
