GEISMAR, La.--New reports say at least one person was killed and 33 others wounded when a chemical plant in Louisiana exploded Thursday.

Reports identified the facility as the Williams Olefins plant.

Authorities ordered residents within a two-mile radius of the plant to stay inside their homes while crews battled the fire, which is still burning right now.

The company confirmed workers were injured in the explosion but said it did not know how many people had been hurt or how severely.
