JESSIEVILLE, Ark.– We’re learning more information about the little boy who lost his life during a dog attack.

Authorities say 5-year-old Ayden Evans and his younger sister survived the May 20 tornado but their house did not.

The siblings went to stay with a family friend in Arkansas while their parents began the process of rebuilding.

Officials say Ayden had been upset by something and was crying just before a bull mastiff attacked him.

Experts believe the dog may have taken the boy’s crying as a sign of aggression and lashed out at the child.

The dog ran away after the attack but deputies found it a short time later and put it down.

Ayden later died of his injuries.
