MOORE, OK — City of Moore Imposes Temporary Moratorium of 14 Days for Construction Permits in Tornado-Damaged Areas

At the June 17th City Council Meeting, Moore City Council, in order to protect the health, safety and welfare of those in and around the storm affected areas, imposed a temporary moratorium for a period of fourteen (14) days on any building permits or development that require major reconstruction or complete new construction on existing lots in the tornado-damaged areas.

The moratorium does not apply to building permits for minor repairs.

The Moore City Council will consider criteria for storm-related re-construction at the next regular City Council meeting to be held July 1, 2013.

At that time, the temporary moratorium will be re-evaluated.
