Governor tours clean up progress in Newcastle

NEWCASTLE, OK -- More than a month after that violent tornado hit the metro the rebuilding process is underway. Governor Mary Fallin toured the community of Newcastle today; getting a look at the progress.

Newcastle was hit first before that twister raged on through the City of Moore. A number of homes were impacted. Fortunately there were no deaths here.

This afternoon, the governor got a look at the clean-up that's been taking place over the last few weeks. She also met with first responders and community leaders to talk about the effort.

Another somber anniversary is coming up this weekend. This Sunday, it will have been one month since a tornado hit El Reno. That twister followed by flash floods that killed 23 people.
