Man shot in chest, another shot in neck, could be gang-related

OKLAHOMA CITY – Two men are in the hospital after being shot in the neck and chest.

Police raced to the 1400 block of N.E. 15th St. after someone called and reported an assault with a deadly weapon.

According to police, one man was shot in the neck and was taken to the hospital.

A short time later, another victim walked into the hospital with a gunshot wound in his chest.

He was in critical condition and in surgery Wednesday morning.

Police said they believe the shooting is possibly gang-related and happened near N.E. 23rd St. and Bryant.

Authorities said the two men were sitting in a parked car when another man walked up and started shooting.

The men hit in the neck drove himself to a family member’s house while someone else drove the other man to the hospital.

So far, police do not have a suspect description in this case.
