Stevie Wonder said he is boycotting Florida, and other states – including Oklahoma – with “Stand Your Ground” laws, on his future tours, according to the Los Angeles Times.

“I decided today that until the ‘Stand Your Ground’ law is abolished in Florida, I will never perform there again,” Wonder said. “As a matter of fact, wherever I find that law exists, I will not perform in that state or in that part of the world.”

This comes after a jury found George Zimmerman not guilty in the death of Trayvon Martin.

The Los Angeles Times reported Wonder’s tour will be more difficult if he does carry through with the boycott.

At least 20 other states have passed “Stand Your Ground” laws, our state included.
