National guardsman one of two men shot at apartment in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A shooting in Oklahoma City leaves one man dead, another injured. The gunfire erupted at an apartment complex Wednesday night.

The three men who opened fire are still on the run. Oklahoma City Police are asking for the public's help catching the three accused killers.

"Investigators believe the two men were inside the apartment when three men shot both and then fled," said Oklahoma City Police MSgt. Gary Knight.

Unfortunately, police didn't have any descriptions to give out on those suspects that fled.

One of the victims, 48-year-old Edmond James Tyree, died at the scene. The second man, retired Army National Guardsman 47-year-old Michael Joe Hale, remains hospitalized for this injuries. Friends expect he will be okay.

"Investigators have not determined the motive for this homicide," said Knight. "Anyone with information the homicide tip line is the number to call."
