OSU, OU top Big 12 Pre-Season Poll

OKLAHOMA CITY- Football fans across the state are rejoicing after the state’s two largest universities top the Big 12’s Pre-Season Poll.

The poll is as follows:

  • 1. – Oklahoma State
  • 2. – Oklahoma
  • 3.- TCU
  • 4.- Texas
  • 5.- Baylor
  • 6.- Kansas State
  • 7.- Texas Tech
  • 8.- West Virginia
  • 9.- Iowa State
  • 10. – Kansas

The Cowboys received the most first place votes with 15, putting them in the number one spot during the preseason.

This is the first time since the formation of the Big 12 in 1996 that Oklahoma State has been picked to win the conference before the football season kicked off.

The Sooners followed with eight first place votes, earning a total of 355 points for the second spot on the list.

The season starts for OU and OSU on August 31.
