Two resource officers coming to Guthrie schools

GUTHRIE, Okla.- A change by the Guthrie Board of Education will put parents’ minds at ease while protecting children in the classroom.

The board unanimously voted to add two resource officers to the district, which is in addition to one position that is already filled.

After purchasing uniforms, insurance and training, the positions will cost the district about $64,000.

Each officer will overlook two schools each.
