Freddy’s Frozen Custard raises $50,000 for tornado victims

MOORE, Okla.- The founder of a national fast-food chain is making his way to Moore to present thousands of dollars worth of donations to the Central & Western Oklahoma Red Cross.

Freddy Simon, along with the other founders of Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, are heading to Oklahoma to present a $52,029.48 check to the charity.

The Moore restaurant suffered only minor damage from the devastating EF5 tornado but many surrounding businesses were completely destroyed.

In the days following the storm, the store was able to feed 5,000 first responders and volunteers free of charge.

Guests making purchases at all Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers locations were encouraged to add a dollar or round up their tab with the extra money going to tornado victims.
