OKLAHOMA CITY -- The relief effort for the May tornado victims continues Tuesday night, July 23rd, at Chesapeake Energy Arena. "Rock For Oklahoma" features homegrown bands that wanted to do something to help people in Moore, Shawnee, Bethel Acres, Newcastle, Oklahoma City, and others effected by the storms in May.
OKC's own, The Flaming Lips, are joining southeast Oklahoma natives, Kings Of Leon, to raise money. Losses from the May storms are estimated to reach close to two billion dollars.
"People from all around the world came to help here and that's such a cool thing," Coyne said. "Our hearts go out to the families, but we're together here and we have to have fun, you know what I mean?"
Other acts performing Tuesday were Grace Potter, Ben Kweller and Built To Spill.
You can also help May's tornado victims by donating to The United Way of Central Oklahoma "May Tornado Relief Fund."
