Hughes Co. inmate kicks out screen to escape jail, on the run

HOLDENVILLE, Okla.- Deputies are on the hunt for an inmate who escaped the Hughes County Jail Tuesday night.

Authorities say 35-year-old Terry Reed escaped the jail between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Officials believe Reed climbed on top of an air conditioning duct and kicked out a screen in order to get out of the facility without being noticed.

Reed is not considered dangerous to the public.

He was arrested on drug possession complaints.
