EDMOND, Okla. - A popular Oklahoma restaurant is closing it's doors at the end of this month. Steak and Catfish Barn's owners are retiring.

They started out as the Italian Kitchen but changed the menu a short time later. The restaurant has been featured on several cooking and food shows.

Husband and wife owners, Dino Smalley and Maria Vitale, cook everything themselves.

"We are here 15 hours a day. We do all the food. We talk to the customers. So, it's like a big family," said Vitale. "So it's kind of sad.

"Thank you, Oklahoma," said Smalley. "This is the friendliest state. I'm an okie, and the Oklahoma people they have been great to us."

The Steak and Catfish Barn is closing Aug. 31. They plan to sell the restaurant and move to Vitale's home country, Italy.
