BRUSSELS, Belgium- After a Tennessee couple was stopped from naming their child “Messiah,” a couple in Belgium is also having trouble with the law over their choice of name.

Israeli parents, who are living in Belgium, wanted to name their child “Jerusalem.”

Officials informed the new parents that the name wasn’t on an allowed list.

However, authorities say they would change their mind on one condition.

The couple must provide a letter from the Israeli embassy showing the country’s blessing for the name.
