OKC construction project gets federal attention

The newly appointed U.S. Secretary of Transportation visited Oklahoma City today to help dedicate an important traffic interchange.

Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx visited the ongoing I-44 and I-235 Broadway Extension project along with Senator Jim Inhoffe and Governor Mary Fallin.

In 2004 Oklahoma topped national lists for bad bridges as over 1100 were structurally deficient.

The current plan is to fix or replace all of them by the end of the decade.
