EAST PEORIA, Ill.- Last month, we told you about a 96-year-old man who melted hearts across the world with a sweet tribute to his wife of 75 years.

Fred Stobaugh’s wife, Lorraine, had just passed away and he was trying to find the best way to honor her memory.

That’s when he heard of a songwriting competition at Green Shoe Studio.

He quickly came up with the song “Sweet Lorraine” and mailed it into the producers.

They found that the composition didn’t meet the criteria for the contest but decided it deserved more than an old recording on tape.

The company put the words to music and put it on ITunes.

So far, it has sold more than 100,000 copies, which is more than Justin TImberlake’s or Miley Cyrus’ latest singles.
