Toyota is voluntarily recalling more than 100,000 of its Highlander Hybrid and Lexus models.

The first recall affects the Toyota Highlander Hybrid and Lexus RX 400-H vehicles.

Transistors in these models can suffer heat damage causing the car to shut down while a driver is behind the wheel.

The second recall affects Lexus IS 350, IS 350-C and GS 350 vehicles.

In these models, the bolts in a timing control device can come loose, causing the vehicle to stop while being driven.

Toyota officials said they will notify vehicle owners involved in the recall by mail.
