Under the Affordable Health Care act or “Obamacare,” all Americans will be required to get health insurance by 2014.

New options are now available.

According to CNN, an estimated 48 million Americans are uninsured.

Tuesday they are able to buy a policy through a health insurance marketplace or in some states, enroll in a newly expanded Medicaid program.

Oklahoma is not expanding the Medicaid program, so that is not an option for residents in our state.

The available programs are open for registration until March 31, 2014.
