Pott. County man shot, tazed after spat with girlfriend overnight

BETHEL ACRES, Okla. – One mas is in the hospital Wednesday after getting shot in the head.

Authorities said his girlfriend is behind bars in Pottawatomie County.

Officials said the couple was intoxicated at the time of the shooting overnight on the 19000 block of Stevens Rd near Bethel Acres.

They said the pair was arguing, the woman fired several shots with a .45 caliber handgun and one hit her boyfriend in the head.

Police said the man drove himself to a neighbor’s house and they took him to the hospital.

Authorities said the man caused a scene and tried to leave the hospital before doctors could treat his head injury.

Pott. County deputies said at one point the man had to be tazed and he still got loose and ended up hitting a lawman in the face.

One of the officers was wearing a camera on his uniform and should release that video to us Wednesday morning.
