Overdraft, ATM fees hit all-time highs

It’s happened to us all a time or two; heading to an ATM or using your debit card to spend more than you have in the bank.

However, a new survey shows customers need to pay closer attention to their finances.

According to Bankrate.com, overdraft fees and out-of-network ATM costs have hit record highs.

The average overdraft charge rose 3 percent this year to $32.20.

Also, people who withdraw money from another bank’s ATM now end up paying a fee averaging $4.15.
