OKLAHOMA CITY – A national food distributor announced that it plans to close one of two centers in Oklahoma City next year.

In January, US Foods will close a distribution center and lay off 175 workers.

US Foods filed the layoff notice last week with the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, indicating the layoffs will be permanent.

No reason was given for the closure, although the company already has a second distribution facility in town.
