Inhofe pushes to end government shutdown after recovering from quadruple bypass
TULSA, Okla. – U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe had quadruple bypass surgery Friday in Tulsa and is still asking his colleagues in Washington to work toward reopening the government.
The congressman went in for a colonoscopy but Inhofe’s doctor found a problem with his heart that resulted in him being rushed to open-heart surgery, according to a statement released by Inhofe.
“Today, I am feeling great and am fully engaged with my work here in Oklahoma,” Inhofe said in the release.
Inhofe will soon be strong enough to return to Washington.
