OKLAHOMA CITY -A local shoe store is donating hundreds of shoes to students at a local elementary school.

MetroShoe Warehouse announced that it is donating shoes to every student at Wheeler Elementary School on Thursday.

Wheeler Elementary is the last of five Oklahoma City Public Schools to receive shoes for students.

Later this week, workers will outfit all 500 students at the school with new kicks.

That brings the total number to just over 2,500 pairs of shoes that have been donated by the company.

Bodine Elementary, Gatewood Elementary, Shidler Elementary and Stand Watie Elementary schools all were recipients of the donation drive.
