UPDATE: El Reno police find robbery suspect in hospital

UPDATE: 10:18 pm – El Reno police say they found Jake Blurton in an El Reno hospital and he is talking with detectives.

EL RENO, Okla. — On October 11, at approximately 3:32 pm., Officers from El Reno responded to a call of an armed robbery and shooting which occurred in the 100 block of N. “L” Ave. in El Reno.

The victim and suspect struggled over the suspect’s gun which went off during the struggle.

The suspect, who was identified by the victim as Jake Blurton, was struck once in the leg.

Victim reported Blurton then left the area south bound from the location.

Officers are currently searching the area and locations Blurton may be headed.

All area hospitals have been advised to be on the lookout for Blurton as he may seek medical attention for his injuries.

Blurton is described as an Indian male, 5’9” to 5’ 11”, weight approximately 140 lbs, with short dark hair.

Blurton was last seen wearing a gray striped shirt.
