SPENCER, Okla. - On Thursday, NewsChannel 4 ran a story about a Spencer family searching for their missing horse.

After the story ran, one of our viewers called in claiming to have found the horse and it turns out they did.

Happy and eating, that's how Victoria Crittenden, likes to see her pride and joy, Victory.

"This one's my favorite," said Crittenden.

Victory wandered off days ago after a tree branch broke one of her fences. Crittenden said the reunion was quite emotional.

"When I walked up to the pen, of course it was dark so I wasn't sure what I was seeing, but when he stuck his head over the fence and I could see his face, I just lit up, I was like, he's mine, he's mine," said Crittenden.

A family from Choctaw had found Victory roaming Spencer, so they brought him to their stable, to take care of him until they could find the owners, which was about 4 1/2 miles away from the Crittenden’s.

Now with all three of her horses back in one place, Crittenden said she's already mapping out a plan to prevent this from happening again.

"My dad told me so, we're going to check the fence at least twice a week to make sure there's no mishaps, they don't get out," said Crittenden.

However, it doesn't stop there; she's leaving her mark on her favorite horse.

"Oh, he's got an appointment to be branded, he's getting a big VC on his butt," said Crittenden.

Victory’s family wants to give a big thank you to the Choctaw family who returned and took care of their horse.
