OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Police arrested two women on complaint of domestic abuse and obstructing an officer after finding them in a bloody hotel room.

According to the police report, officers responded to a domestic incident early Monday at the Days Inn at 2616 S. I-35 Service Road. When police arrived, it was apparent that the women had been fighting in the hotel room. The officer observed a large silver lamp covered in blood laying on the floor.

Police say Misty Rae Nihart, 31, was bleeding from her face and that Winafer Dawn Cox, 37, was covered in blood from a wound on her head. According to Nihart, Cox had hit her with the lamp and Nihart had retaliated by slamming Cox’s head into the table leg. Then the two women apparently started punching and kicking each other.

Both women were treated at Southwest Medical, where Cox received five staples. The two were booked into Oklahoma County Jail.
