EDMOND, Okla. – Edmond residents have an opportunity to get free trees.

The Edmond Urban Forestry Department is giving out three gallon trees on a first-come, first-served basis Friday starting at noon.

If you’re interested, the department asks that you consider available space for a mature tree before you pick up one.

Available species include oak, juniper, sycamore, crape myrtle and red bud.
