Driver killed after hitting cars, a semi, catching fire in Norman

NORMAN, Okla. – One person has died after a crash involving multiple cars, a semi and a fire in Norman Thursday.

Officials said a car driving northbound on 12th Ave. S.E. veered into oncoming traffic near Tecumseh.

According to police, the car hit at least three other vehicles, collided with a Tyson Food truck and then caught fire.

Authorities said the driver who veered into traffic died at the hospital.

No one else was seriously injured.

The identities of those involved in the accident have not yet been released.
