UPDATE: Police say victim found with throat slashed at apartment complex

OKLAHOMA CITY -- OKC police said a victim was found at a northwest apartment with his throat slashed Tuesday night.

Police responded to the scene initially in reference to an attempted suicide.

Authorities said the victim was found at the Highlands Glenn Apartment at 12701 N. Pennsylvania with his hands and mouth bound with duct tape.

Police said he made his way to another apartment in the complex and made enough noise to get their attention.

The victim could not talk due to injuries to his throat, according to police.

Authorities said the victim is an African American man in his 40s who lives at the complex.

The man was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
